Why is my policy period for 1 year?
For many policies, the actual event dates are shared with us by our partners and those dates align with the policies' effective and expiration dates. When the event or program dates are not available, a policy's effective dates default to 365 days. This time period ensures you have coverage through the event or program you are participating in. So even though the expiration date may be 1 year out, your coverage only applies through the end of the registered program or the activity you purchased the insurance for.
